Kayamandi Women Bring Sustainable Menstrual Health Solutions to Their Eastern Cape Communities
This Christmas, the incredible women of Kayamandi who work with Lady Talk Matters brought the spirit of giving to their hometowns and villages in the Eastern Cape. Armed with reusable period pads they had helped manufacture, they distributed these essential products within their local rural communities.
The initiative allowed these women to showcase the life-changing work they are doing in Kayamandi while supporting people in their own communities. By providing these pads, they offered not only a sustainable solution for managing periods but also dignity, confidence, and a sense of empowerment to the recipients.
“This wasn’t just about delivering pads; it was about bringing hope and starting conversations in places where menstrual health often remains a taboo topic,” said one of the team members.
The reusable period pads, made with care and precision, are a testament to the commitment and skill of the Kayamandi team. By sharing their work with their hometowns, they’re helping to spread awareness about menstrual health, reduce stigma, and empower more individuals to take control of their well-being.
At Lady Talk Matters, we’re proud to support these women as they make a difference not only in Kayamandi but far beyond. Their passion and dedication continue to inspire us all.
