Empowering communities through education, support, and sustainable solutions
This International Women’s Day, Lady Talk Matters is accelerating action for gender equality by reaching out to underserved communities with essential education and period products.
With the gender gap even more pronounced in low-income communities, our team has been on the ground, providing menstrual health education and sustainable period products to ensure that no one is held back by their period. By breaking stigmas and fostering open conversations, we are empowering women and girls with the knowledge and resources they need to thrive.
Through interactive workshops and direct community engagement, we are addressing the challenges many women face in accessing proper menstrual care. Our efforts not only support immediate needs but also drive long-term change by advocating for better policies and awareness around menstrual health.
In many of the communities we work with, menstruation is still a barrier to education, work, and daily life. A lack of access to period products forces many to stay home, impacting their opportunities and well-being. By distributing reusable period products and delivering comprehensive education, we are not just offering short-term solutions but creating sustainable, lasting change.
As part of our initiative, we also collaborated with local community nurses who shared their expertise and delivered essential menstrual health education. Their involvement provided invaluable medical insights and helped reinforce the importance of safe and informed menstrual care practices.
We believe that menstrual health is a fundamental right, not a privilege. Every girl and woman should have the knowledge, support, and resources to manage their periods safely and with dignity.
This International Women’s Day, we reaffirm our commitment to bridging the gender gap through action, education, and empowerment. Join us in making a difference.
