Lady Talk Matters Empowers 100 Girls at Achieve South Africa Event and Cape Town University
Earlier this month Lady Talk Matters had the honor of presenting to 100 young women from underserved communities at an Achieve South Africa event, held in partnership with Cape Town University. Achieve SA, a key pillar of Endurocad, focuses on educating, coaching, and empowering young women in the Winelands.
The theme of the event, “I AM in a powerful body,” perfectly aligned with our mission to break taboos surrounding menstrual health and sexual education. We had the privilege of leading an open discussion about periods, how to manage them, and the importance of understanding one’s own body.
Along with the vital education, we donated our reusable period pads to each participant, ensuring they had the tools they need to manage their menstrual health. The response was overwhelmingly positive, and we are so grateful to have had the chance to empower these young women with the knowledge and resources to embrace their bodies with confidence.
