Empowering Young Girls: Lady Talk Matters Celebrates Women’s Day with Songo Foundation
On Women’s Day, August 9th, Lady Talk Matters made a meaningful impact in Kayamandi by partnering with the Songo Foundation to deliver a menstrual health and body empowerment session for young girls. This initiative aligns with our mission to empower women and girls through education and practical support.
The event focused on breaking the stigma surrounding menstruation and equipping the girls with vital knowledge about their bodies. Our team facilitated engaging discussions, helping the girls to embrace their femininity with confidence and pride.
In addition to the educational session, Lady Talk Matters donated reusable period pads to each participant. These sustainable pads not only promote environmental responsibility but also provide the girls with a reliable menstrual solution, reducing the financial burden of purchasing disposable products.
We are proud to have shared this special day with the Songo Foundation and the young girls of Kayamandi, contributing to their journey of self-empowerment and health awareness. As we continue our work, we remain committed to supporting and uplifting communities through education, dialogue, and sustainable solutions.
