Empowering Cambodian Youth with Menstrual Health Education and Sustainable Solutions

In November, Lady Talk Matters founder Andrea Turkovic traveled to Cambodia to empower young people with essential menstrual health education and sustainable solutions. During her visit, Andrea personally distributed our reusable period pads and delivered vital hygiene education sessions to boys and girls.

The sessions aimed to break taboos surrounding menstruation, providing young people with accurate, practical information about how their bodies work and how to manage periods safely and confidently. By including boys in these discussions, the initiative also helped foster a culture of understanding and support, essential for long-term change.

Andrea’s visit underscores Lady Talk Matters’ commitment to addressing menstrual inequity globally. “Every child deserves access to education and resources that allow them to thrive, regardless of gender or circumstance,” Andrea said.

The reusable period pads distributed during the trip are handmade in South Africa, reflecting our dedication to sustainability and supporting local economies.

This initiative is part of Lady Talk Matters’ ongoing mission to provide education and resources to underserved communities worldwide. Together, we’re working toward a world where everyone has the knowledge and tools to manage their health with dignity.

Stay tuned for more updates from Cambodia and beyond. Together, we can make a difference!
